Blindbag Apple Fritter by Gryphyn-Bloodheart Blindbag Apple Fritter by Gryphyn-Bloodheart
This was a pony I did as part of the mystery blind box I sold on ebay earlier. This was my first Apple Fritter too. I've had these pictures sitting on my computer for months now and just haven't had the time to update so... here you go! An addition to the Apple family.

I have a question. What kind of paint do you use, and how do you get the cutie mark on? I'd like to start doing my own customs and i'd like some help.

basic acrylic paint from any craft store should be fine. You can spring for a nice acrylic set or Citadel paints if you want, but I've never found it to be worth the extra expense. You can get 8 oz bottles of acrylic paint at just about any craft store for about $2.50. The cutie marks are also hand-painted -- for this, you need very fine, tiny brushes.I have a pair of Winsor & Newton brushes size 0 and 1.

She's a simple repaint, so $20. Send me a note.

Hasbro general prints one cutie mark, but in the show they have a cutie mark on each flank, so that's why I do both sides.

Yeah it's probably a result of the animation studio using flash and generally being lazy. You'll notice that one flank will get a mirror image of the cutie mark (for instance, Vinyl Scratch's cutie mark in the show is seen as a backwards music note). The G4 toys have only one cutie mark like their predecessors, but because of the demand for "show-accurate" toys, I always paint the other flank.

Yet the original G1s had two cutie marks, both in the show and on the toys.
